The Pixel Love section last week featured Guardian Rock, which wasn't really good (at least I think so), but Tower of Heaven was awesome! I loved the story line, and the ending, and

The game so much reminded me of Portal. The similarities are:

  • The player is talked to by an unseen narrator who is at first happy with the player, but then becomes angry, installing traps and toying with them. Both

Much of you will probably notice how 8 of the 10 similarities are inside a Spoiler template. Well, the story becomes very portal-like during the ending. I found that level 9 and 11 were very hard. I also found the ending very good.

If you don't complete the game, but want to find out what the ending is, it (10th spoiler template!):

basically says that the player forfeited their gift. The Tower of Heaven is destroyed, and the player sees a black and white picture of the destroyed remains of the tower. Colour comes to the image, the words from the journal of "an unknown traveller" come up. The credits roll, and the bird in the tree a distance from the tower, flies off.

Well, I liked it (except for it being very difficult). What did you think of the game? If you completed the game, how many times did you die? Throughout the entire game, I died 285 times.
