Greetings, fellow Nitromians! This is one of my few blog posts about how it has been a year since I joined the wiki! Yesterday I surprisedly got the Wiki Hero badge, which I didn't expect on that day due to time-zone differences. Anyway, I was happy to get it. As it has been a year since I joined, I also want to thank you all being a part of my wiki experience. I certainly learned a lot here, and it wouldn't be without all of the wonderful Nitromians! It really is a great community here, and I am proud to be a part of it. It's really awesome that such a large group of Nitromians are willing to help each other and contribute to the largest database about Nitrome on the Internet every day. Well, that's all for now. Have a great day! …Read more >
Hello everyone! I have been out for a week on vacation, as you may have noticed from my sparse editing. Pretty much all I could do was add categories to articles, because I didn't have access to a computer. I did manage to play quite a bit of Icebreaker, though. So, what did I miss on the wiki? I feel like I missed a lot. I'd be glad to start helping with adding Icebreaker content and images, as soon as I get my bearings. Well, that's all for now.

Hello everyone! A few days ago, I decided to create an account for the Nitrome Wiki on YouTube, since it already had one on Facebook and Twitter! At first, I wondered what I could use the account for, or what videos I could upload. Well, I came up with an idea! You know the Battle of the Week page that a decent amount of readers and editors vote on weekly? Well, I decided to make a video "advertising" that!
I used Microsoft PowerPoint to do it, if you don't notice that from the video. I also used a screen recorder to record the presentation because there wasn't a way to upload it to YouTube. (This made it a bit laggy, since the recorder had to record nearly the whole screen, but not by too much.) I also added in some fitting music t…Read more >
Hello everybody! For the past few days, I have been working on something really exciting that I also think is really awesome! Okay, so it turns out that we have an extension called "imagemap" installed in this wiki, and it creates a sort of "interactive" image, where there are links on the image as well as tooltips. These links, when clicked, can lead a user to a page to learn more about that image. these links can also be restricted to certain portions of the image, so that the link and tooltip will only be shown when the cursor hovers over that portion. Anyway, when I discovered this extension, I immediately thought, "How can this be used on the wiki?". With some thought, I realized that this extension could have many applications …Read more >
Hello everybody! That's right- I have developed another unique and new userbox template, and the purpose of this blog post is to share it with all of you! :D
This userbox is called FavoriteGame, and, as you can probably guess, it's function is to take your favorite game, and make a userbox out of it! This is how it works: Simply type in the template name and a pipe, and after the pipe, type in your favorite game. Within seconds, you will now have a userbox that not only provides a link to the game article of your choice, but also displays the game icon in the id box! It's that simple!
It took a lot of work and perseverance in order to make this userbox. In order to make it work, I needed a massive amount of Parser function templates, and, …
