Shark robots are enemies that appear in the game Toxic II. They first appear only on secret level 2.1. They do not appear in the prequel, Toxic.
Appearance
Edit
Shark robots have a head consisting of two triangular pieces of metal, with the two back edges connected to a big pink eye. The head is attached to a body, which consists of a large dark piece of metal that makes a small curve on both end edges, and has a light piece of metal in the middle.
It is made up of four of these segments, with the tallest on the top and the lowest on the bottom, with ones between those sizes in the middle. Attached to the end of the body is a tail, made of two large pointy pieces of metal.
Game information
Edit
Shark robots appear only on level 2.1 - Fish and Drips, a level accessed by finding a blue teleporter on level two. Shark robots jump out of pool of acid, diving back down into it once they reach a certain height. They are difficult to kill because the player has to lay a bomb on an edge and time it so that it explodes when the shark robot is out of the water, as bombs will not work once exposed to acid.
Shark robots are on of the largest enemy robots in the Toxic series, and the only one seen to be able to freely swim in acid without suffering any harm or side effects. They are easy to avoid, as the player can jump high over them.
Trivia
Edit
- Curiously, an "up" arrow can be seen in the mouth of the shark, the direction the arrow is situated is the direction the shark jumps. This is probably a coincidence, however.
