A version of Magic Touch was ported from Adobe Flash to a version for Nintendo DS, and is available through download. The game is basically the same as the original Magic Touch, except some things have been added or taken away. The game has not been ported by Nitrome.

Like the Flash version of Magic Touch, the player has to eliminate knights, as they fall for as long as possible.

There are a few differences from the original Magic Touch.
In-game

Knights are smaller in DS version when descending downwards, but come to regualr size when landing on the castle. Knights that land will not cheer upon landing on the castle, and the wizard will not leave as well. Although in the regular Magic Touch knights will descend on to the screen with more balloons as the player continues playing, all knights in the Magic Touch version will always have one balloon, regardless of how far the player has progressed.
Scoring

In the original Magic Touch, the player earned points by popping balloons. This is the same in the DS version, except, the player earns points every second they stay alive. It is impossible to do such in the Flash version, but has been achieved by hacking the high scores.
Gameplay

The player can use as much ink as they want, unlike the Flash version where they had a bar which said how much ink they had left, meaning they could only use a certain amount of ink before having to wait for what they drew to disappear.
What was also added was a pink balloon, which had a "Z" on its side, a balloon not seen in the Flash version. Also another difference is that when the right shape was drawn, instead of the robot falling, it would simply disappear. A glitch that as absent from the Flash version is that when a robotic knight touched the castle, the game ended. In the DS version, four knights had to touch the castle for the game to end, meaning that it was easy to achieve scores in the 5,000's.
Another glitch, that made the game harder, was, sometimes, large amounts of robotic knights, sometimes up to seven, would fall from the sky, some even covering each others balloons. This usually happens when the player gets a score 8,000 or more, but will continue the higher the player gets.

The credits and help section stayed the same as they were in the Flash version, except the "Scores" button on the menu, which would start the game if double touched with the stylus. Also, when the game was started up, an image of the Nitrome logo as seen in the startup for Magic Touch. Also, the music for the title screen would play once the game was started.

- A third party rewritable game cartridge device that can fit into either slot one or slot two of the DS Lite supports use of a mini SD card
- Mini SD card
- Device that can read and write information to the mini SD card
Steps

- Place mini SD card into a slot on the card reader/writer which fits the mini SD card
- Plug card reading/writing device into computer
- Place MagicTouch.zip on mini SD card
- After writing, safely disconnect the card reader/writer
- Place mini SD card into the rewritable game cartridge device
- Place rewritable game cartridge into slot one/slot two of DS Lite (depending on what cartridge is used)
