Oneironaut is a puzzle platform game created by Etaercion for the Nitrome Jam under the theme "Dreams". The game received a 4-star rating average. The player controls a dream explorer.

Controls

• / Arrow keys / ADWS keys - Move left/right
• / Up / W key - Jump
• Mouse - Use shifting powers
• R key - Restart level

Gameplay

The goal of the game is to collect all the pink gems found within the level. The player is given the ability to shift components of a level, affecting blocks and empty spaces. Using the mouse, they can shift within a 3x3 square. It is only possible to shift when charges are obtained.

The game changes to a white screen, with "..." fading in, then "I've found it". The game shifts to a level with several gems placed close to the top of the ceiling, when suddenly the sound of an alarm clock is heard which causes the screen to shake and turn black.

Enemies / Hazards

• Skull boxes - Turn when they hit walls or gems. When they see the dream explorer, they will charge into the player.
• Spiked blocks - Pink blocks with spiked edges. When shifted, they turn into smooth blocks that can be walked on.

Interactive objects

• Blocks - Disappear when shifted, and reappear when shifting powers are used on an empty space.
• Charges - Allow the player to use their shifting powers once.
• Gems - Necessary to collect for level completion.
