Added by SeritinajiiThe Game high scores is a feature present in almost all Nitrome games. It shows the 100 highest scores in the game, with the score and the name of the one who posted the score.

System
Edit
To submit a highscore, the player has to die in a game or pick to submit their score, depending on the game. Once they are ready to submit their score, they are shown their score and are given the choice to give themselves an up to a 10 letter name. They are able to pick from the 26 letters of the Roman alphabet, and only those 26, symbols like apostrophe ('), full colon (:), bent brackets (( & )), etc. cannot be used.
Once they have picked their name, they can submit it. If the score is higher than the 100th score on the list, it will be put up on the list. If it is lower than the 100th score, it is put up, but not visible by any.

Added by NOBODYOne of the problems with the Nitrome game highscores is that they do not have a lot of defense, and because of this, it is possible to hack them and put up an impossible score.
Another problem is that sometimes players may have a highscore, submit it to the highscore list and use a vulgar word as their name. Some games have a maximum score the player can get, Toxic II for example, which makes competition pointless as eventually the boards will be filled up with players who have the maximum score.
Glitch
Edit
Pressing the back button fast enough will take the player back farther then the 100th score.
Nitrome 2.1 Update
Edit
Nitrome plans to update the Game High Scores for Nitrome 2.1. What they plan to do is currently unknown.[citation needed]
Games that lack highscores
Edit
Although most Nitrome games have highscores, icon games, distributable games, and Flightless lack highscores.
