Forest spirits are edible beings in Parasite. There are two types of forest spirits: small forest spirits and big forest spirits.
Small forest spirits[]
A small forest spirit
Small forest spirits appear as small green blobs with two arms, legs, and eyes. They are introduced in level 2 of Parasite. They are scattered around all subsequent levels, and touching one will cause the parasite to eat it and earns the player fifty points.
Big forest spirits[]

Big forest spirits are about three times taller then the parasite and appear to be made up of many small forest spirits.
Big forest spirits appear in every level of Parasite. Once one is touched, it will make a checkpoint that the player can respawn from. Each big forest spirit awards five hundred points.

- Forest spirits resemble Kodama from the animated film Princess Mononoke by Studio Ghibli.
