Bombs are enemies in the game Rainbogeddon. Two types exist: red bombs and blue bombs. Of the two, red bombs are usually more dangerous, although it depends on the situation.

General appearance[]

Bombs are spherical with a fuse on the top of their body. They have two eyes and pink lips.

Blue bombs are enemies in the game Rainbogeddon.

Appearance[]

Blue bombs have the general appearance of the usual bomb, and they have a blue body.

Game information[]

Blue bombs move at a slower than usual pace, trying to home in on the player when possible. When shot with a bullet or drilled, the sound of shooting or drilling metal will be heard. This is possibly used to mislead the player into believing that they did no damage, and trying again.

Upon being drilled or shot for the first time, in three seconds they explode in a big multicoloured explosion that spans about five blocks up and five blocks across (5x5 grid), sometimes being a bit bigger. They should be avoided in small areas as they hard to get away from, unless the player can transport out. Two or more blue bombs usually appear in a single level.

Red bombs[]

Red bombs are enemies in the game Rainbogeddon.

Appearance[]

Red bombs have the general appearance of a bomb, only red. When about to blow up, they turn a light shade of blue.

Game information[]

Red bombs appear twice in Rainbogeddon. Red bombs will move in a set pattern, not homing in on the player as they lack homing abilities. When they see the player, they will appear startled (image three), and then flash red (image four) and blue (image five). They will speed up the rate they alternate between these two colours, until it is alternated very fast, then explode.

This explosion is about the same size as the explosion from the bomb the player can obtain. If they are shot with a bullet or drilled, they will explode instantly. The player should shoot them from afar if they want them to explode faster, but not drill them, as they will always be caught in the blast and will be killed.

Trivia[]

  • When red bombs appear in the last level, they have to be detonated in order to complete the level.
