Space ants are enemies that first appear in the Xolstar 3 sections of level 1 of the game Mega Mash. They are part of the basic enemies group 1.

Appearance[]
Space ants appear as white creatures with a head, two eyes, a pair of antennae, and a mouth. They have four legs, two to the side of their head and two in front of them. They are normally seen at the top of the area, forming lines of three.
Game information[]
As the space ants travel across the screen in a horizontal direction, they fire bullets that travel in a vertical direction. They continue this motion until they disappear from the screen roll or the player destroys them first. With the ship's bullets, they can be destroyed within a few hits. The space ant will turn a red colour when hit and eventually explode once destroyed.
