This article is about aliens from Canary. For aliens from other games, please see Aliens.

Alien spinners are enemies in the game Canary.

Appearance[]

They are plus sign (+) shaped, with a blue eye in the middle of their purple-colored body. White spore like objects are located on their four ends.

Game information[]

Many alien spinners are scattered throughout Canary Mining Colony CM08, usually in twos or fours, usually located in small areas. Alien spinners will follow a certain path and never stray from it.

These enemies are quite weak, and can be easily killed. Alien spinners rotate counter-clockwise, exploding on contact with other creatures. These enemies seem to be the most numerous of the aliens, due to their quite frequent appearance in levels.

Spoiler
When the Canary Mining Colony exploded, Canary 214-LE and an alien spinner escaped the colony. The alien spinner began to multiply in space, producing other alien spinners to go out to other planets. It is not known, but a certain gender of alien spinners can replicate in space. It is not known if they have to be in space to replicate, if it has to be a certain gender.

Trivia[]

  • Alien spinners seem to be similar to the Nightbarb from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. Both creatures fly around, are purple coloured, and have a single eye a single colour in the middle of their body.
  • On level one when the boss Canary said he was using the big drill, there was actually a alien spinner pushing the debris. This may mean they are quite strong, or Nitrome used this just for the falling debris effect.
