A mobile phone game is a game that can be played on an iPhone and/or Android device, although some early mobile phone games were exclusive to cellphones.
Mobile Chick Flick was Nitrome's first intended mobile phone game, however, it was not released due to lacking funding. Four Play was the first cellphone game released. After Nitrome's departure from the cellphone game business in 2005 - months after they entered it - they began work on zero mobile phones games until October 2009, when they started production on Super Feed Me. In the past, Nitrome mobile phone games were made for all cellphones, but Super Feed Me, however, was first going to be made for all versions of the iPod Touch and iPhone, with the possibility of Nitrome making it for other devices.
Super Feed Me was the most advanced type of mobile phone game made by Nitrome, and the longest in production. Later, Super Feed Me was put on hold, and Nitrome started working on Icebreaker A Viking Voyage and a top secret game.
Nitrome kept posting previews about Icebreaker A Viking Voyage, these previews known as "Updates" and "Dev Diaries", including text and images. Nitrome also released a mini game called Freeze Frame to promote Icebreaker A Viking Voyage before it was released.
