Normal blue spheres are enemies in Rainbogeddon.
Normal blue spheres appear as the general appearance for a blue sphere.
Blue spheres are different from other enemies that they do not home in on the player. This enemy will move in a set path several times before moving in another direction. They stray from their usual route if there is an open space, and go to another area that is similar to the one they started; they are like the mice in Blast-Man Joe.
Blue spheres are the easiest enemies to avoid and the easiest to kill, as they do not home in on the player. They are not used often in levels of Rainbogeddon, and the levels they are found in usually containing large amounts of this type of enemy.
Elite blue spheres

|Abilities||Homing in on the player|
|Health|| - 1|
Elite blue spheres are enemies in Rainbogeddon.
Elite blue spheres have the general appearance of a blue sphere, only elite ones have a cylindrical hat and mustache.
Elite blue spheres are more commonly encountered than the normal blue spheres. Elite blue spheres will home in on the player at the very start of the level, and never stop until they have killed the player. Blue spheres will try to take the shortest route to the player, but only if it is possible to get to the player. If it is not possible, they will simply wander around.
When it is possible to get to the player, they will head directly towards them. If the player is below them, elite blue spheres will try to go in the direction the player heads. Multiple elite blue spheres will likely take the same route as the other elite blue spheres.
